Wrestling: Pennsylvania's top 2018 recruit flips from Iowa to PSU

Just three days after winning its second consecutive national championship, Penn State has landed Pennsylvania’s best recruit for the Class of 2018.

Gavin Teasdale, who won his third state championship this season for Jefferson-Morgan, announced on Twitter Tuesday night that he’d be switching his verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions. Teasdale originally pledged to Iowa in April.

Teasdale is the No. 2 overall prospect in the country for his class, according to FloWrestling.com. The No. 1 recruit, heavyweight Gable Steveson of Apple Valley, Minn., announced for Minnesota over the weekend.

He is 122-0 for his career and finished his junior season with a 40-0 record at 126 pounds.

Teasdale projects as a 133-141 pounder for his college career.
