Woodward to transfer

Penn State true freshman point guard Graham Woodward is set to transfer from the Nittany Lions to an as-yet-unnammed institution, according to a press release provided by Penn State Sports Information Wednesday morning.
"Graham has made the decision to continue his playing career elsewhere," head coach Patrick Chambers said via press release. "He is a tough, hard-working player and a great young man; we wish him the best moving forward."

The loss comes a little more than a week following the Nittany Lions' year-end press conferences with Chambers, senior point guard Tim Frazier and junior guard D.J. Newbill.
At that press conference, Chambers said he was hoping to be able to keep the team's current makeup intact through the offseason.
"I like this core, I like this team, and I think we did a lot of incredible things this year. A foreign tour, going to New York, we were very creative and innovative with practice just doing different things, so hopefully they'll want to stay," he said. "We don't want anybody to go."
Woodward's career as a Nittany Lion ends at 31 games, averaging 2.8 points per game with 23 made 3-pointers.
