Two Lions removed from roster

I just got off the phone with Penn State's Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, Brian Siegrist, to confirm the reports that both Phil Taylor and Chris Baker have been officially kicked off the football team.
Officially, it's true.

Both redshirt junior defensive tackle Chris Baker and redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Phil Taylor have been removed from the football team.
While there is no official explanation as of yet as for the how and why of the matter, an explanation should be forthcoming at some point in the near future, he said.
Taylor was selected as a fourth-team All-Big Ten pre-season selection by Phil Steele this off-season.
The Penn State football team will begin preparations for the 2008 season on Monday, August 4, when pre-season practice is officially underway.
Certainly, this will be a major topic of discussion when the Nittany Lions' annual pre-season media day takes place on Friday, August 8.
Stay tuned to Blue White Illustrated for the latest on this breaking news story.
