WHAT HE DID: Smyrna had a down year in 2018, going 3-6, but just one year prior, the Eagles went 10-2, advancing to the Delaware Division I State Championship where they defeated Middletown, 30-27. During his junior season, Smyrna averaged 418 yards of offense, rushing for more than 3,000 yards.

WHAT HE WON: Wormley participated in the Rivals Five-Star Challenge in June. He was named Delaware's Offensive Lineman of the Year by the Delaware Interscholastic Football Coaches Association and earned first-team honors on USA Today's ALL-USA Delaware team. Considered the best prospect in Delaware for the Class of 2019, Wormley comes in at No. 108 overall in the Rivals250 and No. 5 in the offensive guard rankings. He made major improvements this past offseason, going from a mid-range three-star to one of the top offesnsive lineman in the country.

WHERE HE VISITED: Wormley visited Penn State three times in a five-week stretch in March and April. Before his commitment in July 2018, he also took official visits to Notre Dame and Rutgers. Wormley earned just shy of 20 scholarship offers. Duke, Florida State, Maryland, Oregon and West Virginia were some notable schools.

QUOTABLE: “He’s one of those positions where you don’t have to worry about his performance in the game,” Smyrna coach Mike Judy told the [Delaware] State News. “He was completely dominant throughout the year. He did a great job, he’s been a great leader.”
