Reports: Miami guard to transfer to PSU

Contacts at Penn State have confirmed Roberts' intention to transfer to Penn State to BWI.

Roberts, a 6-foot-3, 215 pound guard for the Red Hawks, is reportedly eligible to play immediately upon his arrival with the Nittany Lions and, coming off a 12.3 points per game season, could help provide a scoring boost in the absence of departed guard Jermaine Marshall. Roberts' season was cut short last year when he suffered a slight meniscus tear to his right knee in March.
According to the Journal-News in Hamilton, Ohio, "Roberts shot 39.2 percent from the floor, 34.4 percent from 3-point range and 80.3 percent from the foul line," last year.
Roberts missed all of the 2011-12 season with an injury to his right knee, but saw extensive action his true freshman and sophomore seasons with the Red Hawks, pouring in 23 against Northern Illinois.
