CB Reid Suffers Serious Spring Setback

Returning Penn State cornerback John Reid, a rising junior, is expected to miss the bulk of the 2017 season with an unspecified leg injury, Blue White Illustrated has confirmed with its sources.

A junior, Reid is coming off an honorable mention all-Big Ten season in 2016, starting each of the Nittany Lions' 14 games opposite Grant Haley. He has a redshirt season available, having started as a true freshman during the 2015 season.

Though no details have been announced through the program at this time, Reid is expected to miss significant time due to the injury sustained during the team's spring practice sessions.
