Penn State has set a date for its next junior day in the 2019 cycle.

Blue White Illustrated confirmed Tuesday evening that James Franklin and his staff will host its next big recruiting event on March 24. The junior day will take place during the first Saturday of spring practice. The first practice date is yet to be confirmed, but we know that the 2018 Nittany Lions will kick off spring ball during the week of March 18.

Penn State hosted its first junior day of the 2019 cycle just under two weeks ago on Feb. 3. 25 prospects made the trip, the majority of which were in the Class of 2019. Some notable juniors included WR David Bell, TE Jahleel Billingsley, WR John Metchie, CB Tyler Rudolph, OL Caedan Wallace, LB Andre White and CB Marquis Wilson. The Nittany Lions also hosted a handful of underclassmen in the 2020 and 2021 classes, including RB Jalen Berger, DT Cole Brevard, RB MarShawn Lloyd, Saf. Jordan Morant, Ath. Derrick Davis and OL Landon Tengwall. Subscribers can learn more about what those prospects thought of the staff's first junior day HERE.

Over the past few years, Penn State also hosted a junior day at the end of February. However, for this cycle, they’ve elected to prioritize personal visits between now and mid-March. Hosting a junior day during spring practice will allow the Lions to show more players what their respective position coaches are like in a practice setting.
