Penn State picks up big commit

Penn State head coach James Franklin's recruiting success continued Friday evening when Class of 2015 defensive back John Reid announced his verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions via Twitter.

Reid, a cornerback out of St. Joe's Prep in Philadelphia, is rated as a Rivals.com four-star prospect and is considered the No. 2 player in Pennsylvania for the Class of 2015.
Additionally, the 5-foot-10, 175 pound corner is ranked the No. 101-overall prospect in the Class of 2015 and the No. 10-overall corner in the country.
Owning offers from programs including Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State, the Nittany Lions emerged with the commitment.
