PENN STATE CRUNCH TO HIT STORES THIS FALL
By Sports Information
Penn State Sports Marketing has announced the creation of Penn State Crunch cereal for this fall. Penn State Crunch, in addition to providing a collectable keepsake and tasty breakfast treat for Penn State fans, allows for statewide exposure for the University in over 100 supermarkets from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh and statewide markets in between.
Penn State Crunch, created by Penn State is a sweetened corn flake from Ralston Foods and will be carried exclusively in Giant Food Stores and Foodland Supermarkets across the state of Pennsylvania.
The back panel of the Penn State Crunch cereal is sponsored by Pennsylvania’s Tuition Account Program (TAP) and its TAP 529 college savings program, Pennsylvania's tax-advantaged college savings plan.
Pennsylvania State Treasurer Barbara Hafer, whose office runs the TAP 529 program said, "We are thrilled to be a part of this. Parents and kids all across Pennsylvania are going to be sitting down to a bowl of Penn State Crunch in the morning --and that's sure to get a lot of them thinking about college. It's the perfect time to reach them with our back-of-the-box message from Joe Paterno, telling them howTAP 529 can help them start saving for college."
