Lee suffers ACL tear

Penn State linebacker Sean Lee has sustained a torn ACL in his right knee, as confirmed by Nittany Lions' Sports Information Director Jeff Nelson.
After today's Coaches Clinic scrimmage, Nelson talked to both Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli and Lee himself about the injury.

Here is what he said.
"Dr. Sebastianelli confirmed Sean tore his right ACL," Nelson said. "He'll have surgery sometime within the next two to four weeks. The expected rehabilitation period is expected to be nine months.
"There was nothing else that was significant."
Lee on the other hand, the consummate team leader, addressed the situation.
"I have a responsibility to the team to help do everything I can this year in what might be a non-conventional way. I have to turn this into a positive. It's a bump in the road. I'm excited about the team we have and the kind of season we can have. It's a great opportunity for a young guy."
