Ferguson set to transfer

Blue White Illustrated has confirmed that Penn State juco transfer quarterback Tyler Ferguson will no longer be with the Nittany Lions following the completion of the fall semester. He has been granted his release by Penn State.
Ferguson finishes his career at Penn State completing 10-of-15 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown in five appearances.

Transferring from the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, Calif., Ferguson owned school records of 2,614 passing yards on the season, completing 199 passes on 358 attempts for 22 touchdowns.
Battling with true freshman quarterback Christian Hackenberg during the Nittany Lions' preseason practices, Ferguson was revealed to be the backup by the time Penn State took the field against Syracuse to open the year.
Though he appeared in each of the Nittany Lions' first two games, he only saw snaps three times for the rest of the season, most notably coming in to relieve Hackenberg in Penn State's blowout loss to Ohio State, completing 7-of-11 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.
