Decision day for Waters

Thursday is decision day for Iowa Western Community College quarterback Jake Waters.
Waters, a Rivals.com three-star dual-threat quarterback has narrowed his choices to just Penn State and Kansas State following a weekend visit to Manhattan and an in-home visit from Nittany Lions' head coach Bill O'Brien the very next day. Just within the last couple of days, Waters eliminated both Texas and N.C. State from his list of choices.

At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Waters represents one of the final missing puzzle pieces for the Nittany Lions' recruiting class of 2013.
With only true sophomore Steven Bench slated to be at the quarterback position when Penn State opens spring practice in March, Waters is a much-hoped for addition, especially after a season in which he led Iowa Western to the National Junior College Athletic Association national championship two weeks ago, and was named a first-team NJCAA All-American selection in the process.
On the season, he completed 244 of his 333 passes for 39 touchdown and a staggering 3,501 yards through the air in just 12 games.
Blue White Illustrated's Rivals.com colleagues, Sean Callahan, Gregg Paterson and Nate Clouse from HuskerOnline.com, will all be there for Thursday's 11:30 a.m. announcement at Iowa Western and will have full live coverage from the event.
