Penn State's run of recruiting success this weekend rages on.

As the fifth verbal commitment since Friday, wide receiver Daniel George is the next prospect to join the Nittany Lions. A four-star prospect from Oxon Hill, Md., George selects PSU over a top group of schools that also included Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, UNC, NC State, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, George is considered the No. 228 overall recruit in the Class of 2018. Rivals.com ranks him as the 43rd-best WR in the class and the No. 7-rated overall prospect in the state of Maryland.

Penn State welcomed back George to campus this weekend for the Lasch Bash Barbecue. He had also visited State College in February, his first after earning an offer from head coach James Franklin and his coaching staff in December following the conclusion George's junior season. In 10 games, George caught 29 passes for 498 total yards and 11 touchdowns.

George joins a handful of recruits who have chosen Penn State this weekend. Kicker Jake Pinegar also announced his commitment Sunday. WR Shaquon Anderson-Butts and quarterback Will Levis popped Saturday, while defensive lineman Judge Culpepper got the ball rolling for the Nittany Lions once he committed Friday following his visit.
