JUCO DE making noise

Defensive end Perry Jackson (6-2, 250, 4.66) from Roseville (Calif.) Sierra College was set to attend Nevada a few years ago, but didn't qualify. He went to Sierra College and began to take his education as seriously and important as he does football. Now Jackson is set to graduate in December, making him eligible for spring ball.

As a sophomore, Jackson accounted for 70 tackles, two sacks and on first fumble. His performance has drawn the attention of several D-I schools.

"Colorado State is close to offering me," Jackson said. "My recruiting coach (Larry Lewis) for Colorado State said I'm what they are looking for."

"Arizona coach Jeff Hammerschmidt has written me handwritten letters," Jackson said. "He told me that I am on their list of defensive ends."
