2009 Rivals100 DB plays in front of UGA

Georgia coaches were on the road over the weekend and two were in Charlotte (N.C.) watching one of the best in 2009. Mike Bobo recruits the state of North Carolina for the Dawgs and he took Defensive Coordinator Willie Martinez with him to see one of their top defensive targets for next years class in Devonta Holloman.

"It was nice to see Georgia there on the sideline at our game and it was the first time I had seen coaches at our game watching me this year," said Holloman.

"I have heard other schools had come to one of our games, but I have never seen the coaches, so it was nice this time. I saw Coach Bobo and Coach Martinez and that was cool."

He actually talked to Georgia's Coach Bobo on Thursday, so the 6-foot-2, 200-pound safety expected UGA to be in attendance.

"I have been talking to Joe Cox and Mohamed Massaquoi (both former Independence stars) because I had not heard from Georgia lately and I got Coach Bobo's number from them."

"I called Coach Bobo on Thursday to talk with him and he said he would be coming up to watch me and Makiri Pugh (Georgia commit) on Friday night."

That wasn't all Holloman learned when he was on the phone with the Bulldog Offensive Coordinator. He found out some big news too.
