Mandeville's Mauti is one to watch

There is another solid linebacker in the State of Louisiana.

His name is Michael Mauti.

The 6-2, 220-pound Mandeville High School linebacker is projected to be on of the top linebacking prospects in the state for the 2008 class and is already starting to get looks from big-name schools, including the defending National Champion Florida Gators.

Running a 4.55 40, Mauti is one of the stronger linebackers in the state as he benches 315, squats 425 and has a power clean of 355.

Skippers Head Coach Guy Lecompte says his senior linebacker is a one of if not the best defensive player he has coached during his brief tenure in Mandeville.
