Ramsey passes on camp, is wide open

One top Mississippi prospect who was scheduled to attend the Baton Rouge, La., Nike Camp was Madison Central offensive lineman Chaz Ramsey; however, Ramsey decided at the last minute not to attend the workout on the LSU campus due to heavy workouts during his high school's spring football practice.

"We've been in full pads for the first six days (of spring practice)," Ramsey said. "I was just too worn down from practice and decided not to attend."

Ramsey is in his first year at Madison Central where he is being coached by one of the top coaches in Mississippi — Bobby Hall. Ramsey played at Jackson Academy through his junior season and will play in the public school system for the first time this fall. Hall is also in his first season at Madison Central.

Ramsey may have missed a camp, but he's not missing out on offers coming his way from colleges as his official offer count is up to eight.

Ole Miss, Auburn, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Southern Miss, Houston, Memphis, and Michigan have all offered the standout lineman.
