The offers are starting to roll in for Hamilton (Ohio) offensive lineman Adam Pankey. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect is up to 10 offers at the moment after picking up a pair of verbal offers this week from North Carolina State and Bowling Green.
"Right now I'm just open and seeing what's going to happen with these other big schools," said Pankey. "I'm looking at Ohio State and Wisconsin and hopefully with good camps there I can pick up some more offers."
Pankey will be at the Ohio State one-day senior camp on Sunday and Pankey has made no secret that it's a school that he is interested in.
"I talked to coach (John) Peterson about a week ago about me coming up to camp," he said. "My coach also just talked to him (Friday) I think just to tell him about my recent offers."
Pankey is coming into the camp looking to make a statement.
"I'm looking to prove that I'm one of the elite offensive linemen in Ohio," he said. "I'm hoping to have a real good camp and hopefully that will carry over into helping me in recruiting."
Another school that Pankey has expressed interest in is Wisconsin. Pankey will be camping there later this month.
"I'm going up there on the 20th," he said. "I'll be up there for about three or four days. I talked to them last week and I'm going to call them again next week just to make sure that everything is good and to let them know that I'm coming up there."
Pankey plays offensive tackle for his high school team but is getting mixed reviews from the colleges that are recruiting him in terms of what his projected position will be.
"A lot of the schools are looking at me as a tackle," he said. "Wisconsin is looking at me as a guard and probably Ohio State, too. I'm getting looked at for both but it doesn't really bother me (which position he plays)."
