BWI caught up with Bolton via messaging to learn more about why he chose the Nittany Lions over offers that included Pitt, Virginia Tech, VCU and Ole Miss.

"I felt Penn State was the best fit for me," said Bolton. "Academically they have tons of options for me to choose from, the coaching staff made me their No. 1 priority, and me and Coach Chambers have built a great relationship and have become really close. The opportunity to come in and play in a Power Five conference was always a dream of mine."

Bolton's commitment is a big one for the Nittany Lions coming off a summer evaluation period in which the point guard has played extremely well.

A Team Loaded member, Bolton recently traveled to Milwaukee for the NY2LA Sports Summer Jam and played well before returning to Richmond this weekend. While at the Adidas Select Summer Series Showcase, Bolton poured in 18 points to help Team Loaded to a championship win, for which he was named the championship game MVP.

Bolton joins a Penn State Class of 2018 that also includes Myles Dread, who continues to make waves with his summer evaluation period performances. Dread, seeing the announcement of the commitment, offered his congratulations.
