Scouting Reports

The good: Big, mobile senior linebacker who started three seasons at middle linebacker after some time at defensive end. He is a powerful hitter who stops runners in their tracks. He fills the hole in a downhill style, and he wins most physical confrontations. He usually displays adequate instincts and reads that allow him to make the right decisions. He has shown some ability to rush the passer.
The bad: He has only marginal speed to get to the sidelines if he reads the play properly. He must prove more consistent on his reads and impress in an NFL camp to make a pro roster. He failed to separate himself from being just a two-down middle linebacker. His coverage skills are suspect and his level of development will not allow him to play the nickel backer role early in his career.
Outlook: His marginal speed hurts his chances on special teams. He gets a late-round grade only, and may not be drafted due to positional concerns and marginal speed and instincts.
