The good news just keeps coming for the Washington State University men's hoop program as mere weeks after an impressive set of performances against a collection of professional teams in a tour of Australia and New Zealand, Cougar seniors Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver were named as finalists for the Team USA squad that will compete at the Pan American Games in Brazil later this month. An official announcement of the roster has been released at USA Basketball.

Both Low and Weaver survived the initial cut down from 30 players to 14 and will now have a week of final training before the final cut down to 12 comes at mid-week before heading off to Rio de Janeiro for first-round games.

Low and Weaver are seeking to become the first-ever representatives from Wazzu to make the Pan Am squad.
