Miller one to watch
When you watch defensive end Corey Miller play three things come to mind. He's big at 6'4, 227lbs. He's fast. His forty speed would be good for a linebacker, let alone the end position he'll play end at the next level. And wow could he create some nightmares for defensive coordinators when he gets into college.
Another thing that pops out is his ability to shed tacklers with his lateral quickness. Something you don't see every day from most high school players with his size. Usually it's just a physical advantage and brute force that allows elite high school players to dominate. Last year Miller got it done with both strength and speed, making 119 tackles, with 19 of them going for a loss while being the focus of virtually every offensive line his team faced.
He's got offers from basically every SEC and ACC school but says he's very interested in playing out of state. "I think I want to get away," said Miller, 'It's great here but I've lived here my whole life, in the same house." His offers are a who's who of college football. LSU, Tennessee, Texas A & M, Notre Dame, Nebraska, North Carolina, Florida State and everyone else you'd imagine. In fact, he got his offer letter from Purdue just before he spoke to us.
