Nelson keying Skyline to successful start
Dallas Skyline junior linebacker Corey Nelson is in the midst of one of the hardest transitions that a defensive player can make. Last season, Nelson earned All-State honors as a sophomore at defensive end in leading the Raiders to one of the deepest playoff runs in the school's history.
However, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Nelson had a size/skill set that was better suited to playing linebacker in space than with his hand on the ground. As a result, Nelson was moved to outside linebacker in the spring and he appears to be well on his way to making the adjustment.
Nelson already holds scholarship offers from Stanford, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, UCLA, Kansas, Kansas State, Florida, Texas, Oregon, Nebraska, TCU and Houston.
