Too bad Zeke Motta missed Notre Dame's spring game. If the versatile defender from Vero Beach, Fla., had watched the Blue-Gold Game, Motta would already know how he fits into the Notre Dame defense. It's hard to imagine Charlie Weis making a better recruiting pitch than that MVP performance by Harrison Smith. It's no wonder the Irish offered Motta yesterday.
