A 5-4 season might be disappointing to some, but not to Reid Fragel and his teammates from South High School in Grosse Pointe, Mich. South suffered a tragedy during the 2006 season when head coach Mike McLeod succumbed to cancer. The team finished 2-7 that season, so finishing above .500 this year was a major confidence boost.
