Maher now kicking for Kearney High

HuskerOnline.com One of the top high school players in the state last season is starting anew at a different high school as a senior. Due to his father becoming the superintendent at Kearney, Brett Maher transferred out of Utica (Neb.) Centennial High and is now playing for the defending Class A state champion Bearcats.
This summer, Maher attended kicking camps at Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Ohio University and LSU. The Bobcats of Ohio under former-Husker head coach Frank Solich have already offered him a scholarship, and he's being closely followed by other schools.
