Bruins To Battle Pitt

BruinSportsReport.com Following a three year absence, UCLA returns to the Sweet Sixteen for a second consecutive season and once again, the team finds itself on Northern California soil facing the three-seed in the West Region for the right to play in the regional final on Saturday.
The opponent this time around is a familiar one
sort of. UCLA hasn't faced Pittsburgh in fifteen years, but there won't be many secrets when the teams take the floor on Thursday evening in San Jose.
Of course, Bruins coach Ben Howland resurrected the Pitt program before he came back out west, and he and Panther coach Jamie Dixon are very close friends with identical philosophies regarding the game of basketball.
