Darren Collison in a groove

BruinSportsReport.com UCLA point guard Darren Collison is playing at a very high level. You would have to search pretty hard to find another point guard playing on the college level as well as the Bruin guard. Not only is Collison running the offense superbly, but he has proved to be a solid defender. He also added clutch shooting to resume.
One of the biggest question marks going into the season was how Collison would fill Jordan Farmar's shoes. While they are different players, Collison has been masterful as the Bruin point guard this season.
Collison met with the media after Coach Ben Howland's press conference on Tuesday.
Whenever there was a lapse and the Wildcats would make a run you guys would make a play and stop them cold?
Collison: "Yeah I thought our team did a good job answering whatever they brought to us and that's how it is when you are playing in a hostile environment you have to play big and big players are going to step up big at the right times."
So you like to take 30-footers with time running off clock and swishing it?
Collison: "It's fun because there's no pressure."
When you were hitting those three's on the shot clock's buzzer, did you see the air being let out of the opposition as you were doing making the shot?
Collison: "(Laughs) No I couldn't see because I worried about stopping the ball. That's what coach (Ben Howland wants me to do."
