Tide ends disappointing season
It began with injured star Tyrone Prothro carrying the game ball out to centerfield. It ended with sophomore quarterback John Parker Wilson fighting back tears while addressing the media after the Tide suffered its fifth straight loss to the Auburn Tigers in a 22-15 nail-biter.
"We had good chances," said Wilson, who set new school records for passing yards and passing attempts in a season Saturday. "We had some good play calls. It gave us the chance to put the lead up and set the tone of the game. We just couldn't execute it. We couldn't make the plays when we had to."
