Speed on offense, special teams
Many had circled the Boston College vs. Clemson game on their calendars for a few reasons. First, last year's game was so good, an overtime win for BC, that many could not wait to see these two evenly matched teams slug it out again.
Second, with Miami and FSU seemingly on a downward arc in terms of their cyclical football dominance, it was viewed as a chance for the winner of this game to take a strong step in terms of competing for the conference championship. And last, rarely are two good teams matched up this early in the season with so much on the line.
Going into the game, CU was a slight favorite, as was expected considering their above average team speed and having seen BC the year before, they should have known what to expect. You see, last year BC dominated along the lines of scrimmage and with five returning starters on offense, CU was not going to let that happen again.
