The recruiting machine is cranking in Evanston.

Northwestern accepted a verbal commitment for the third consecutive day as St. Louis (MO) University High lineman Niko Mafuli today became the seventh member of NU's Class of 2007.

Mafuli chose Northwestern over offers from Missouri, Utah, UNLV, Wisconsin and Hawaii. He was also being recruited by Notre Dame, Iowa and Indiana, according to Kornfeld.
