Hoover, Ala., DT Kerry Murphy has narrowed down his college options to a final three of Miami, Alabama and Auburn.

Why does Miami make it in there with two area schools?

"Because they put a lot of people in the NFL," the 6-foot-5, 314-pounder with 5.1-second speed says.

Coach Joe Pannunzio is recruiting Murphy for Miami.

"We send messages to each other," Murphy said. "He's a nice guy. I'll get to meet him this summer. I'll come down probably in mid-July."
