Bere making visits
Cincinnati linebacker Tinashe Bere is on spring break at Sycamore High School this week, but instead of traveling south in search of warmer weather, he will be visiting some of the schools in the Midwest showing early interest. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Bere leaves today on a tour that will take him to three Big Ten schools over the next couple of days.
"I'm going to Indiana and Purdue on Tuesday," said Bere. "Then I'm visiting Iowa on Wednesday."
After racking up 85 tackles his junior year, Bere has seen his stock continue to rise as more schools evaluate him on film. So far, the Cincinnati native is enjoying the recruiting process and the opportunities that have come his way.
"It's been fun," Bere said. "It's really picking up right now. There are more schools interested and I'm getting more offers. I think I'm up to nine now."
Those nine include Iowa, Purdue, Illinois, Duke, Cincinnati, and a handful of MAC programs.
