Penn State women's soccer head coach Erica Walsh and her Nittany Lions are en route to San Diego for the program's first College Cup appearance since 2005.

Monday afternoon, Walsh and three of her players - Christine Nairn, Maddy Evans, and Maya Hayes - addressed the media in advance of their semifinal match against Florida State Friday at 8:30 p.m., and, interestingly enough, a team that has experienced its own set of unique challenges has found inspiration throughout Penn State's athletic department.

Specifically, head coach Bill O'Brien and the Penn State football team.
