Along the defensive line, historically, Penn State's defensive line coach Larry Johnson has always liked a 2-man rotation at all four defensive line positions. He never wants his defensive linemen forced to play more than about 50 to 55 plays per game.

Fortunately for Penn State, and despite the loss of second round draft choice Devon Still, the Nittany Lions appear to have the kind of depth necessary to accomplish that, particularly at defensive end.
