Up for the challenge

Khairi Fortt is relieved to be back.

Standing with his teammates at Thursday night's Special Olympics event on Penn State's campus, the Nittany Lions' junior linebacker was no longer on crutches or in an immobilizing leg brace.

For the majority of spring practice, however, Fortt was forced to the sidelines with a dislocated knee. As his teammates stretched and warmed up for practice after practice, Fortt could be seen off to the side, working with team medical trainer Tim Bream.
