Watson trying to prove he measures up

Warchant.com MOBILE, Ala. --- The list of so-called "undersized" Florida State linebackers who have gone on to excellent NFL careers is a lengthy one.
Dekoda Watson is hoping to add his name to that list. The 2009 Seminoles defensive captain is one of three former FSU players at this year's Senior Bowl, the annual NFL scouting showcase that takes place on Saturday.
Watson checked it at 6-foot-1 and 232 pounds at Monday's official Senior Bowl weigh-in, taller and heavier than past FSU linebacker standouts Ernie Sims and Geno Hayes to name two and very close in size to the Seminoles' most recent first-round NFL pick, current Pittsburgh Steeler Lawrence Timmons (6-1, 234). Watson said that while he may not measure up to the NFL outside linebacker prototype of 6-4, 250, he's trying to show that he does possess two key tools in abundance.
